Agency is one important aspect of subjectivity in literary studies. This paper has adopted the sense of agency to analyze how Jade Snow Wong successfully integrates her two identities in Fifth Chinese Daughter which is considered as the pioneering Chinese-American literary work.
In "The Structural Study of Myth",Levi-Strauss ingeniously creates conceptions such as "double structure" of myth,"mythemes","bundles of relations" and the parallel between a musical score and myth and so on.By close reading and with Derrida 's deconstructive analysis of structuralism,this paper discovers some unscientific and incautious points in Levi-Strauss ' methodology including uneconomical explanation,rupture of solution,subjective analysis and neglection of cultural and human environments.
