隐喻不仅是一种修辞手段,而且是一种思维方式,它是人们在思想中对于不同事物特征建立联系的方式或机制。由于英汉民族文化和思维方式及体验的不同,对于事物的认识及其隐喻理解也不尽相同。英汉颜色词及其构成的词语都具有丰富的隐喻含义。本文以“红黄绿,白蓝黑”为例,探讨中英颜色词隐喻的相似性和差异性,理解颜色的深层意义。遵守中英的习惯,掌握颜色词在两种语言中的不同,准确判断颜色词的隐喻意义。Metaphor is not only a rhetorical device, but also a way of thinking. It is a way or mechanism for people to establish connections between different things in their thoughts. Because of the differences of national culture, thinking mode and experience in English and Chinese, they have different understandings of things and metaphorical understandings. This paper takes “red, yellow and green, white, blue and black” as examples to explore the similarities and differences between Chinese and English color metaphors and understand the deep meaning of color. By observing the habits of Chinese and English, master the differences of color words in two languages, and accurately judge the metaphorical meaning of color words.
