Amylase is one of the important industrial enzymes.In this study,we obtained the crude amylase from Serinicoccus profundi sp.nov.strain MCCC 1A05965T.The optimal temperature for the amylase was 40℃.The optimal pH of the enzyme was around 8.0.The characterizations of the crude enzyme were unstable of heat and pH.Mn2+ increases about 35% of original activity.Mg2+,Ca2+ and some surfactants slightly inhibit the activity of enzyme.
