本研究基于新课标的课程内容和教学建议,以小学五、六年级学生为研究对象,探讨小学生的英语学习态度、需求和学习风格。研究结果表明,小学生学习英语的主要动机是应对考试。五、六年级的学生在学习态度的不同维度上存在显著的阶段性差异;在语言学习需求方面,学生更倾向于听力和视觉材料,而对口语、写作及表演等领域的兴趣较为薄弱;在学习风格方面,学生展示出明显的个体差异。研究结论为中国英语教育提供了重要的实践启示,特别是在课程设计、教学策略优化以及个性化辅导方面,能够更好地回应学生的阶段性需求和个性化特点,具有重要的应用价值。Based on the curriculum content and teaching suggestions of the new standard, this study explores primary school students’ attitudes, needs and learning styles in learning English, with primary school students in grades 5 and 6 as the subjects of the study. The results of the study show that the primary students’ main motivation for learning English is to cope with exams. There were significant stage differences in the different dimensions of learning attitudes among students in grades 5 and 6;in terms of language learning needs, students preferred listening and visual materials, while their interest in the areas of speaking, writing and performing was weak;and in terms of learning styles, students demonstrated significant individual differences. The findings provide important practical insights for English language education in China, especially in terms of curriculum design, teaching strategy optimization, and personalized tutoring, which can better respond to students’ stage-specific needs and individual characteristics, and have important application value.
