Firmothrips Schliephake, the monobasie southeastern European genus, is reported from China for the first time. This is the fifth member of the Chinese Frankliniella genus-group. E firmus （Uzel）, a newly-recorded species, is described and illustrated. A key to five genera of the Chinese Frankliniella genus-group and comments on each genus are provided.
Tenothrips discolor （Karny 1907） of the family Thripidae （Thysanoptera： Terebrantia） is recorded from China for the first time, which represents the first record for the genus Tenothrips Bhatti in this country. Examined specimens are deposited in the Insect Collection of the Institute of Insect Sciences, Zhejiang University.
报道中国大陆1新纪录种,美洲棘脊蓟马Echinothrips americanus Morgan,1913(缨翅目,蓟马科,蓟马亚科),这也是棘蓟马属Echinothrips Moulton,1911在中国大陆的首次纪录。目前该种仅在我国北京海淀区的辣椒上发现。棘蓟马属以头、前胸背板和后胸背板具网状刻纹与针蓟马亚科Panchaetothripinae特征十分相近,但以发达的中胸内叉骨刺与之相区别。美洲棘蓟马系检疫性害虫,本文列出了它的世界分布和寄主植物种类。实证标本保存在浙江大学昆虫科学研究所。
Three thrips-attacking parasitoids,Ceranisus menes（Walker,1839）,C.planitianus Erds,1966 and C.amanosus Doganlar et al.,2009,are recorded from Iran for the first time.This also represents the first record of the genus Ceranisus Walker,1841 for Iran.Identification of the two sibling species,C.amanosus Doganlar et al.,2009 and C.udnamtak Tryapitsin,2005,is briefly discussed.
Rhipidothrips brunneus Williams of the family Aeolothripidae (Thysanoptera: Terebrantia) is recorded from China for the first time, representing the first record of the genus Rhipidothrips Uzel and the fourth genus of this family in China. A key is provided for the four genera known in China, with comments on each genus.
美洲棘蓟马Echinothrips americanus Morgan,1913是新入侵我国的种类。本文报道了该虫各发育阶段的外部形态和分子鉴定结果。首先利用体视显微镜对美洲棘蓟马不同虫态的外部形态进行了观察和拍照;再选择线粒体COⅠ基因中一段约430bp的序列进行PCR扩增和测序,将所得序列用于蓟马种类的分子鉴定。使用不同的矩阵和系统发育构建方法对待鉴定的蓟马以及另外38种蓟马进行了聚类分析,结果表明:基于线粒体COⅠ基因第1和2编码位点,利用NJ法构建的系统发育树可以较好地区别不同蓟马种类,可作为调查我国蓟马种类和分布的快速方便方法。最后对美洲棘蓟马的基本生物学特性和防控对策进行了综述。
The subfamily Panchaetothripinae Bagnall is one of the 4 subfamilies in the family Thripidae. This subfamily includes 6 species in 5 genera in Iran. In this paper, the monobasic genus Selenothrips Kamy is recorded in Iran for the first time. A key is provided for identifying these 6 genera with comments on each genus and its species. The geographical distribution is provided for 7 species occurring in Iran.
A newly recorded species Smilothrips productus Bhatti, 1976 （Thripidae： Thripinae）, collected on sedges from Sichuan is described and illustrated using SEM. This is also the first report of a member of the genus Smilothrips in China. Larvae and two different wing morphs of the species （micropterous and brachypterous） are also described for the first time herein.
