The role of grammar in English Language teaching activities has been under debate and discussion for a long time. Some linguists and teachers argue that grammar teaching should be avoided in the classroom, but others point out that grammar is a necessary part in languages. It serves as a means to the final achievement of language proficiency. As English teachers, we should reconsider the role of grammar and come up with an appropriate and effective treatment of grammar in College English teaching.

It also sets forth the similarities and differences of Sino- American culture in such fields as invitation, giving compliments, food culture, shopping, housing and business activities. It also tells us which aspects English teachers should pay attention to in the teaching of English.
