The paper examines and analyses the care resources of the depended aged in Beijing. Within traditional culture and present socio\|economic system, the family members are the basic care provider for the aged who are in demand for real care in their lives, while the community\|based care services only play a minor role in their lives of the aged. Therefore, the author suggests that community\|based care for the aged should be developed with the orientation of supplementary care services for the family members with the aged, providing assistance and encouraging the family members to be responsible for caring for the aged,that is, to satisfy the caring demand of the aged through helping the family members.
