The conditions under which decontaminate uranyl compounds from the surface of stainless steel by using film have been studied.The films which are composed of different decontaminating agent and polyvinyl alcohol are coated on the surfaces of the contaminated samples,then make it dry.At last strippoff the film,the decontamination is attained.The efficiency of decontamination reachs as high as 99%.
The decontamination of uranyl compounds from surfaces of stainless steel has been studied using various reagents.The results show that uranyl ion can be removed easily,and the oxides formed under 300℃ can be removed with acid,the oxides formed under 600℃ are removed hardly,higher temperature and concentration of acid must be employed.
