Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry was used successfully to determine three kinds of bisphthalazinone phenyl ether aromatic polymers with 1,8,9-trihydroxyanthranene as matrix. The polymerization degree of the polymers were determined to be 1 to 17. The influence of deflection value used in MALDI-TOF MS method was discussed.
Four coumaric derivatives including 3-aminocoumarin, 3-hydroxycoumarin, 3-carhoxycoumarin and 4-methyl-7-hydroxycoumarin were tested as matrices for peptides and proteins analyses by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOFMS). The experimental results showed that all these coumaric derivatives (dissolved in acetonitrile at the concentration of 0. 1mol/L) can desorb/ionize the peptide and protein samples effectively and high resolution MALDI-TOFMS spectra were obtained.
3-Hydroxy-4-chloro-1,8-naphthalic anhydride has been designed and solvent-free synthesized with 1,8-naphthalic anhydride as starting material under microwave irradiation conditions. The result compound has been characterized by 1H NMR,MS and Elemental analysis. All reactive steps have been optimized, good reproducibility and high yield(total yield is 64%)have been obtained. When 3-Hydroxy-4-chloro-1,8-naphthalic anhydride is radiated by ultraviolet light at 249 nm,it emits intensive blue fluorescence.3-Hydroxy-4-chloro-1,8-naphthalic anhydride would be a potential materials for many blue fluorescent organic materials.
