Some problems arising in the development process of Internet,such as information overload,information jam,etc.,are pointed out.For the purpose of solving these problems,a new technology in the field of Artificial Intelligence——Intelligent Agent is presented,including its definition,character and function.Finally,the author expounds the Intelligent Agent’s influence on information service in libraries and information institutes.
A survey of the present situation of information analysis in China is made.Some data on the subject for study,research personnel,interflow and cooperation,translation and edition,etc are summed up.Finally,the paper describes the viewpoints of some information analysis specialists on the development of information analysis in China.
