The ester is synthesized when nicotinic acid and p-nitrophenol are used as raw materials and catalised by DCC and DMAP,then ammonolyzed by chitooligosaccharides(COS) to yield N-nicotinyl COS.IR、1H NMR and 13C NMR are employed to confirm their structures.The hydroxyls of COS are not esterified.The induced resistance of N-nicotinyl COS on tobacco is ascertained and the optimal concentration is 25ppm.
