N-succinimidyl 5-(tributylstannyl)-3-pyridinecarboxylate(SPC),a potential bi-functional linker for radiohalogenation of proteins,is synthesized via a new route and in normal experimental conditions. The products are characterized by 1H-NMR,MS and HPLC.The resulted SPC is labeled with 131I in a labeling yield of 71.2% and with radiochemical purity of more than 98% after HPLC purification. There are no significant changes in the radiochemical purity for 131I-SIPC after 72h storage at room temperature.
