The dinuclear complexes [Zn(MIMHA)]2(MIMHAH=N-[(1-methylimidazole-2-yl)methyl]-β-alanine) was prepared and characterized by single-crystal X-ray analysis.Crystal data:monlclineic, space group P21/c,a=8.792(2),b=9.267(2),c=16.942(2)?,β=99.5(2),V=1351.6(2)?3,and Z=2.The zinc(Ⅱ) atom was co-ordinated in a tetrahedral geometry(N2Cl2),which positions were occupied by one nitrogen atom and one oxygen atom from the ligand and two chlorine atoms.
The novel complexes n(ClO 4) n (MIMHA=N-[(1-methylimidazole-2-yl)methyl]-β-alanine)were prepared and characterized by Single-crystal X-ray analysis.Crystal data:monoclinic,Space group C2/c,a=24.68(2),b=7.601(3),c=14.137(10)*!,β=102.8(1),V=2586(3)*! 3,Z=8. The copper(Ⅱ) atoms has a planae-square (N 2O 2) geometry, which positions are occupied by two nitrogen atoms and one oxygen atom from the Schiff base ligand and the other carboxy oxygen atom from the adjacent ligand. The carboxylate groups acted in the bidentate syn-anti mode and bridges each pair of adjacent copper(Ⅱ) atoms( d Cu...Cu Ca 4.8*!) via the two equatorial positions, giving rise to one-dimensional (Cu-O-C-O-Cu) n skeletons.
