The chaos in the KdV Burgers equation describing a ferroelectric system has been successfully controlled by using a continuous feedback control. This system has two stationaxy points. In order to know whether the chaos is controlled or not, the instability of control equation has been analysed numerically. The numerical analysis shows that the chaos can be converted to one point by using one control signal, however, it can converted to the other point by using three control signals. The chaotic motion is converted to two desired stationary points and periodic orbits in numerical experiment sepaxately.
This paper investigates the propagation of linear dust acoustic waves in inhomogeneous dusty plasmas due to spatial gradients of dust charge, plasma densities. A linear dispersion relation is obtained with the non-adiabatic dust charge iguctuation and the non-thermally distributed ions. The numerical results show that the inhomogeneity, nonthermal ions and non-adlabatic dust charge iguctuatlon have strong iniguence on the frequency and the damping rate of waves.
The effects of external magnetized field and nonadiabatic dust charge fluctuation on instability of wave incorporating the nonthermally distributed ions and the temperatures of ion and dust in dusty plasmas are investigated. A linear dispersion relation is obtained. The numerical results show that the external magnetized field, fast ions and nonadiabatic dust charge fluctuation have strong influence on the frequency and the damping of wave.
The stability of Bose Einstein condensates (BECs) loaded into a two-dimensional shallow harmonic potential well is studied. By using the variational method, the ground state properties for interacting BECs in the shallow trap are discussed. It is shown that the possible stable bound state can exist. The depth of the shallow well plays an important role in stabilizing the BECs, The stability of BECs in the shallow trap with the periodic modulating of atom interaction by using the Feshbach resonance is also discussed. The results show that the collapse and diffusion of BECs in a shallow trap can be controlled by the temporal modulation of the scattering length.
